Add Institution

Click Add Institution to create a new institution in PowerConnect Actionable Findings. Remember that an institution is the highest organizational level in PowerConnect Actionable Findings.

NOTE: For additional information on working with institutions and facilities, refer to  the Edit Institution topic, the Actions Link topic, and the Adding a Facility topic.

 

 

NOTE: Field names followed by an asterisk (*) are required. Fields that are self-explanatory, such as City and State, are not described in the table below.

Corporate Information

Institution Name*

Enter the name of the institution

Institution ID

Generated automatically by PowerConnect Actionable Findings, this is a read-only field. Once you save the institution, the value appears for this field.

Oracle Organization ID

The institution's identifier as it appears in the Nuance Oracle database

Preferences

Facility Preferences

Select the method for identifying the facility in this institution, either Use Facility ID or Use Location ID.

Visual Message

When selected, any OCs you add will have the Visual Text preference by default.

If the check box is not selected, any OCs you add will have the Audio preference by default. 

(Add Ordering Clinician Information window > Preferences section > Receive Message As field)

Lock Account After Invalid Login Attempts*

Enter the number of login attempts to allow before an account is locked out.

Password Expiry Days*

Number of days before an OC’s password expires.

Alert Password Expiry within days*

Number of days prior to password expiration that a user is notified to reset their password.

Password Reuse Limit*

Number of previous passwords that cannot be reused. Forces user to create new passwords and not use previous ones.

MBS - Message Interface

Select this check box to enable access to the MBS-Message Interface link at the top of the Institutions window.

NOTE: MBS stands for Manage Bridge Service.

Enable Auto Send for Account provisioning email (OC, Nurse, and Specialist)

Select this check box to begin automatically sending the provisioning email notifications to OCs, nurses, and specialists. Once the provisioning information is entered in the system, the email notifications will stop.

Enable Web Profile for OC

Select one of the following:

None: Web profiling will not be used. (Default)

Email: For accounts that provide an email address, OCs will receive an email that contains a web profile link that they can open and then update their device information.

Fax: For accounts that provide a fax number, OCs will receive a fax that contains web profile information and a URL that they must type into a browser.

Both: Allows use of either email or fax for each OC.

Enable Auto Send for OC Web Profile

Controls whether to automatically send new users a notification. This check box becomes available only when the Enable Web Profile for OC preference is set to either Email, Fax, or Both. When available, the default value of the check box is Disabled (not selected).

If you select the check box, all OCs will receive a web profile notification, either an email or a fax.

If you do not select the check box, administrators must manually send out the web profile information to users whom they select.

Access Mobile Application

Select this check box to enable access to the mobile application.

Mobile PIN Required

Select this check box to require users to enter a PIN for mobile application access.

Mobile PIN Length

Enter the minimum length of the mobile PIN (required if Mobile PIN Required is selected).

Mobile PIN Type

Select Numeric, Alphanumeric, or Complex.

Mobile Session Timeout

Number of minutes of inactivity before the mobile session times out and requires the user to log in again.

API Physician Synchronization

Select one or more fields that you want to include during synchronization with the physician database.

MBS-Physician Directory Synchronization

Select this check box to enable access to the MBS-Physician Directory Synchronization link at the top of the Institutions window.

NOTE: MBS stands for Manage Bridge Service.

Number of Provider Reminders (OC and Nurse)*

Number of days for the once-a-day email reminders to be sent to OCs and nurses, reminding them to provide their required provisioning information. Enter a number of days between 0 and 20. Select this check box to begin automatically sending the provisioning email notifications to OCs and nurses. Once the provisioning information is entered in the system, the email notifications will stop.

Enable SSO

Select this check box to allow single sign-on for the institution.

WARNING!: This is an irreversible decision; if you commit to SSO by selecting this box (and by clicking OK at the "Are you sure?" warning), but then change your mind, you will have to re-provision each of your user accounts. Selecting this check box (and clicking OK) nullifies all account passwords. The passwords are not saved and cannot be retrieved.

SSO Unique Name (impact login URL)*

A unique URL for each institution. (See SSO topic for more details.)

SSO Organization ID (match Central Auth)*

A unique identifier that matches the institution's Central Auth ID. (See SSO topic for more details.)

Others

Purchase Order Number

Alphanumeric field allowing you to enter the customer's purchase order number for easier tracking.

Require VPN

Select this check box if the customer is required to use a VPN for this institution.

Contracted Annual Exam Volume

Enter the number of exams the customer is allowed to create in one year.

Integration Source

Select one of the available sources.

Facilities

Edit link

(Viewable on the Edit Institution window)

Opens the Edit Facility dialog box, allowing you to edit several items within the facility.

Audit link

(Viewable on the Edit Institution window)

Opens the Audit window which allows you to view activity that occurred at this facility. Displays the Date Time, User Name, Event, Client IP, and Actions for the selected facility.

Add button

Click this button to add a facility to the institution. Click here to see how to add a facility.
